Meet Jeesoo
You might be the person everyone else thinks has it together, but internally you're exhausted. Maybe you're questioning your relationship, your career, or the life you've built for yourself. Or maybe what's most frustrating is that, logically, you know how you should be feeling, but your mind and body tell a different story. You know you're capable, yet you can't stop doubting yourself. You know there's a lot to be grateful for, yet something still feels off. Nothing is obviously wrong, but you can't shake the feeling that something is missing.
I’m fulfilled by working with clients who feel burnt out from carrying expectations, whether those expectations come from family, culture, work, relationships, or themselves. Together, we'll slow down and make space for the parts of you that have been pushed aside. My goal isn't to tell you who you should be, but to help you better understand yourself so you can move through life with more clarity, self-trust, and choice.
As a Korean American therapist and the daughter of immigrants, I understand what it's like to navigate different worlds and wrestle with the tension between gratitude, responsibility, and personal fulfillment. I know how easy it can be to lose sight of your own needs while trying to meet everyone else's expectations. I also bring a strong interest in the mind-body connection to my work, informed by my own experience navigating health conditions and seeing firsthand how closely our emotional and physical well-being are connected.
Whether you're new to therapy or returning after years of personal work, I'd be honored to walk alongside you. You don't have to figure everything out on your own.
Jeesoo’s Why
My path to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight one. Before entering the mental health field, I worked as a data science consultant. During the pandemic, when life suddenly became quieter and distractions fell away, I started my own therapy journey. What began as curiosity became a deeply transformative experience. Therapy helped me understand myself in ways I never had before, including my emotions, my patterns, the impact of my experiences, and how to treat myself with greater compassion. That journey ultimately inspired me to leave corporate work and pursue a career as a therapist.
